The R&D&I Consortium is a non-profit legal entity, operating in the public interest, established according to the Law for Non-profit. It is a science and research organization as stipulated in Chapter 1.3. Definitions, p. 15, b. (vv) from the Frame for state aid for scientific research, development and innovations (2014/C 198/01). The main aims of the Consortium are to conduct independent scientific research and to disseminate publicly the results of these activities through teaching, publications and knowledge transfer. The members of the Consortium are:

The Executive director of the R&D&I Consortium Sofia is professor Marin Hristov. Prof. Hristov is a Bulgarian scientist, former rector of the Technical University Sofia. Prof. Hristov specializes in semi-conducting devices and automated electronic design in UK, France, Greece, Sweden, Portugal, Finland, Germany among others. Prof. Hristov is author of more than 300 scientific publications, 20 textbooks and manuals. He is holding this position since November 2016.
