Virtual and augmented reality Lab of Sofia Tech Park organizes “Unity Introduction” and “AR Games Development” courses

The Virtual and augmented reality Laboratory of Sofia Tech Park is organizing a training course “Unity Introduction”. It is introductory training for operation with one of the most popular game creation environments and in same time is the first stage of the AR Games training program. The Preparatory Module is appropriate for people who have no experience with Unity but have a good knowledge of object-oriented programming. The graduates will have the opportunity to upgrade their studies by joining the “AR Games Development” training program, which will start upon completion of the “Unity Introduction” course. The training will be led by the highly qualified experts from the laboratory Dimo Chotrov and Zlatka Uzunova.

Unity Introduction Program

  • Basics of the Unity Event System
  • Input processing
  • Physics
  • Create a pitch and use the First Person Controller
  • Event detection and triggering

The presentation of the projects for graduation will take place on March 12th.

 

“AR Games Development” is a basic training course for development of games with augmented reality by using markers.  Add a new dimension to your games. The course goes step by step through the development of a basic mobile AR game. The course requires a good knowledge of object-oriented programming and experience with the Unity game development environment. At the end of the course, upon successful presentation of the project, you will receive a certificate of completion of training in “AR Games Development” at the Virtual and augmented reality Laboratory of Sofia Tech Park.

AR Games Development Training Program

  • Introduction to Augmented Reality (AR).
  • Marker selection criteria, creation of an image recognition markers database
