More than 200 students from the 8th to 12th grade of the Electronic Systems Technological School of the Technical University of Sofia joined the fourth edition of the first pure student hacker Hack TUES, which started on 15 March 2018 in the Laboratory Complex of Sofia Tech Park. The Science and Technology Park is a partner of the three-day programming contest “Old School / New Technologies”. This year, the hackаthon is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of its unique technological school.
During the competition days teams will develop their innovative IT projects. The most successful will be awarded at a ceremony on Sunday 18 March 2018 at 6.30 pm The teams are supported by over 40 IT professionals who are their mentors and jury members to evaluate ideas and developments. Among them are representatives of the Hackathon partner companies, experts who graduated from the school and lecturers from TUES. The excellent organization is attended by a team of about 30 students, volunteers and representatives of the Association of Graduates.
The number of participants in the hackathon is record this year, with nearly half of current students involved.
The winners of the competition will receive diplomas and material prizes, as well as opportunity for internships in partner companies, additional work with their mentors for finalizing projects, visits to company offices and additional training opportunities.
