The European Research and Innovation Days is the European Commission’s annual flagship event, bringing together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and citizens to debate and shape the future of research and innovation in Europe and beyond.
In light of the coronavirus pandemic this year, the event will be fully online and takes place on 22-24 September 2020.
Its aim is to bring together stakeholders to shape future research and innovation policies.
The event will be 3 days of intensive policy co-designing, thought-provoking panels and matchmaking opportunities.
At the core of the European Research and Innovation Days is a conference divided into ambitious plenary sessions spanning the depth and breadth of research and innovation in Europe, as well as specialised hubs. Each hub covers 10 pivotal themes and will have a virtual front desk providing information on hub-specific topics, breakout rooms for dedicated discussions and meetings and a virtual meeting room for policy sessions.
As part of the European Days of Research and Innovation, you will have the opportunity to participate in the online science exhibition “Science is Wonderful!”. The exhibition will feature an array of fun, educational online activities that introduce visitors to the latest cutting-edge research taking place throughout Europe and the rest of the world. The exhibition has established a reputation as a major event that introduces the public to the science of tomorrow.
At the exhibition “Science is Wonderful!” there will be more than 40 stands of amazing research projects, where you will be able to chat with researchers from all over the world and discover educational, fun, live activities in different languages.
