Sofia Tech Park is partner and host of the initiative in support of business’s export potential.

EXPO1 – Export Hub Bulgaria’s training program that will help 15 Bulgarian companies to develop their export potential, has begun with a special introductory meeting.

Throughout 12 weeks, various topics related to business development and export potential will be presented with the special participation of the leading representatives of the public, private and non-governmental sectors in the country.

The opening event was held entirely online in Sofia Tech park – the host of Export Hub Bulgaria. This first meeting’s moderators were Boyko Takov, the Executive Director of BSMEPA, and Todor Mladenov, the Chief Executive Officer at Sofia Tech Park.

“The program’s goal is to improve companies’ knowledge, opportunities and perspectives on their way to foreign markets. The idea for Export Hub Bulgaria was born during a visit in South Korea in the company of Mr. Mladenov. After that, we decided to organize EXPO1 following the example of one of the most successful accelerator programs in the country Dare to scale.” shared Boyko Takov.

“The idea for Export Hub Bulgaria was born in a country well known for its innovative methods of doing business and support of the business. We saw many examples of how the innovative ecosystem and the government can support different in size companies in order to be successful in their export activity. We were very impressed and started thinking how can we implement this in Bulgaria.” added Todor Mladenov. He pointed out that the business can find services and expert help in preparation for export activity in Sofia The Park. “In the process of developing and improving their product, more and more companies demand the science knowledge and expertise of the scientists working in our Lab Complex.” said Mladenov. He reminded that very soon on the territory of the science and technology park will start working one of the EuroHPC supercomputers that will provide the Bulgarian business with opportunities for increasing its competitive power.

The companies, that will participate in the first edition of the training program, presented themselves, their business activity and their expectations. After the official part of the meeting, the first working meetings with mentors and experts were carried out.
