The partnership opportunities in the field of innovation and technology were discussed by the management of Sofia Tech Park and the Ambassador of Australia HE Alison Duncan
The week was full of beneficial and inspiring meetings with international partners.

The partnership opportunities in the field of innovation and technology and for more investments were discussed at a meeting in Sofia Tech Park by the management of the first Bulgarian science and technology park and the Ambassador of Australia, HE Alison Duncan. During the discussions it was emphasized that both sides are open to cooperation and development of business relations and implementation of joint projects in the field of innovative technologies in sectors such as electronics, agriculture, clean energy and others.

The Chief Executive Officer of Sofia Tech Park Todor Mladenov, presented the activities, services for business and projects implemented by the science and technology park in support of entrepreneurship and the innovative ecosystem in the country. He pointed out that the park has created a sustainable environment of small, medium and large companies, state educational institutions, investors and other organizations that support the innovative community. Focus was also placed on the R&D services for businesses offered by the Lab Complex to support start-ups and the industry.

Ambassador Duncan expressed interest in our country’s technological advantages for attracting investment in this sector. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Sofia Tech Park Petar Stattev emphasized that in the technology sector Bulgarian specialists are at a high professional level and their main advantage is creativity. He pointed out that the hi-tech industry is the fastest growing sector in Bulgaria, as well as electronics, as 60% of the sensors for the European economies are produced in Bulgaria. Our country also has significant achievements in the automotive and robotics industries.

Sofia Tech Park’s initiative to create a regional organization of science and technology parks, of which there are 45 in Southeast Europe, was also presented at the meeting.
During the discussions the opportunities for cooperation between Sofia Tech Park and the Bulgarian-Australian Business Chamber were also discussed.
