The popular science channel National Geographic presented in Sofia Tech Park its new series “The Unknown Planet”, which hosts the Oscar-nominated actor Will Smith. The screening, which took place in the JB Bulgaria’s Hambara, in the science and technology park, was attended by students from 144 High School in the Mladost district of Sofia. The show will be on National Geographic Bulgaria from 20:55 on March 25, 2018, as well as in 172 countries, in 43 languages. He is the production of The Nutopia and Protozoa Pictures. The ten episodes were shot in 45 countries, on six continents and in open space. In the series are also attracted a group of elite astronauts who tell the story of the Earth through the prism of its unique point of view, knowing it from the open cosmos. These are Chris Heidfield, Jeff Hoffman, May Jamison, Jerry Linnzinger, Mike Massimino, Leand Melvin, Nicole Stotte and Peggy Whitson

Producer is Darren Aronofsky, also nominated for Oscar, “Mother!”, “The Black Swan”, “Requiem for a Dream,” and award-winning producer America’s Story of Us, Our Decade “). Sofia Tech Park is a partner with Fox Network Bulgaria. Within the partnership in 2017, the world premiere of the film series “The Genius”, dedicated to one of the greatest minds of mankind – Albert Einstein, took place in the science and technology park. A joint interactive exhibition dedicated to the planet Mars, which was visited by hundreds of lovers of the red planet and space, was also realized.
