The management of Sofia Tech Park and the University of National and World Economy discussed the possibilities for expanding the cooperation between the two organizations by participating in joint projects and initiatives.

At the working meeting, the participants: Rector of the University, Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov, PhD Assist. Prof. Zornitsa Yordanova, Executive Director of Sofia Tech Park Todor Mladenov, Chairman of the Management Board of Sofia Tech Park Vasil Karaivanov and Supervisory Board member Teodor Sedlarski, discussed ideas for the creation of entrepreneurship laboratories, as well as a joint platform to create connecting students, business and the research community.

The two sides also discussed the possibilities for joint participation national and international projects, developing services in the field of scientific and technological transfer and patent law, as well as organizing internships for UNWE students in various fields.

One of the next steps are development of ideas for new joint activities which are going to be set out in the cooperation agreement, upgrading the partnership between Sofia Tech Park and the UNWE, which started back in 2013. So far the Science and Technology Park has been host of trainings of students from the University, as part of their practice in a number of specialties.
