Sofia Techy Park held a Pitch day for innovative startup companies who want to become part of the innovative ecosystem of the Business Incubator of the Science and Technology park and had applied for the available offices. The companies has presented their ideas and projects to an expert jury of professionals working in the field of entrepreneurship and science, as well as representatives of the Laboratories of Sofia Tech Park. The projects and ideas were in the field of medicine, healthy lifestyle, ICT, financial technology, artificial intelligence, prototyping and green energy.
The members of the expert committee are: Milen Ivanov from Founder Institute Bulgaria, Momchil Vassilev, Managing Director of Endeavor Bulgaria, Evlogi Georgiev – CEO of SCIANT, one of the fastest growing IT companies of the Sofia Tech Park’s ecosystem, as well as representatives of the Research and Development and Innovation Consortium, which examined the applications and presentations of companies with a focus on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and CAD systems, 3D creativity and rapid prototyping, development and characterization of pharmaceutical forms and In silico design.
During the event the startups had the opportunities to pitch within 5 minute presentations. Part of the program was also a 10 minutes Q&A session where the jury focused on the strengths and weaknesses of the companies’ business proposals in order to be established successfully on the market and develop their products / services.
Among the presenting companies were:
Iris Solutions – a company for innovative fintech services. The company is a licensed provider of payment services and payment initiation and account information services, as well as a data transfer platform for credit-funded real estate transactions.
Body Band – The company has developed a prototype elastic suit for all kinds of sports that can be used in various industries, such as aerospace, military, rehabilitation medicine, and people with musculoskeletal problems for prevention.
Axid Lab – Introduces innovative technologies in the detection of bioelectric potentials related to changing alertness, perception and consciousness in four directions: detection of drowsiness while driving, detection of epileptic potentials and seizures, detection of events resulting from sleep (Disorders of Arousal) and detection in the consciousness.
Narcine – a startup developing innovative electric scooters for urban travel. Their folding system provides the comfort of a large moped in a compact vehicle.
CMYK – The company is certified in the EU and develops BIO and organic products based on the principle of cold spices with natural fermentation, which allows to preserve the beneficial properties of herbs. Their product range reaches up to 23 products, with 7 more being under R&D.
The expert jury is expected to finish its evaluation on the companies and their potential within a week. Sofia Tech Park will announce the progress of the results of the committee and give feedback to the candidates.
