The first multidisciplinary ARC Academy will open its doors in Sofia Tech Park this autumn. Students’ training will be focused on the development of young people’s skills and talent, as well as their preparation in the field of niche for different industries disciplines. The training of the first students will be from October, with registrations starting today. Academic development plans include, besides standard training, specialized online courses for all those who want it.
The idea of the academy is to be a practical learning platform where students will get acquainted with the work environment and business to meet with their future employees. Founded at the academy are experts with long-term management experience – Anthony Hristov and Milin Jalaliev, who will help students develop their creative potential and skills in the field of game development, brand building, the creation of films film production) and spatial design (space design).
The Academy will start with 3 major programs. The first is “Digital Arts Fundamentals” and aims to prepare students for the wide array of creative programs offered by ARC Academy. The training includes the basic tools and software you need to know about a successful digital career career. The second discipline is Game Development, where game design, 3D modeling, animation, and more will be studied. The Brand Building program enables students to learn more about consumer behavior, product innovation, branding, marketing strategies, advertising and digital marketing. The Masters of Advertising and Brand Management program, which began five years ago in partnership with Saatchi & Saatchi, has already over 100 successful graduates.
The program will partner with the Higher School of Management (HUM), thanks to which the students in this program will graduate with a master’s degree. Gradually, the school will seek to expand the range of disciplines offered in areas such as “Film Production” and “Space Design”. At ARC Academy, students will not only get hands-on experience from leaders in their industries, but will also meet professionals working in leading companies, starting to build career relationships with them. This is why ARC Academy has partnered with industry leaders in the relevant areas – gaming (Ubisoft, Creative Assembly, Gameloft, Chaos Group), branding (Saatchi & Saatchi, Econt, VUM). Additionally, the Academy also supports the Bulgarian Entrepreneurship Center (BEC) and Sofia Tech Park.
Partners will enable students to participate in collaborative projects and provide scholarships and modern facilities that are often lacking in traditional universities and poses a serious problem in keeping pace with the pace of business education.
Antoni Hristov has 30 years of experience in Hollywood, including 18 years as Pixar’s art director (“The Search for Nemo,” “Wall-I”, “The Incredibles 2” and many others). Antonini has returned to Bulgaria to share his experience and knowledge with the young people here. His desire is to help them stay in our country and develop the skills to build a creative business.
Milin Jalaliev has 16 years experience in advertising and branding of various management positions, 10 years of which as Saatchi & Saatchi manager at Publicis Groupe Bulgaria. Contributes to the “Agency of the Year” Award for Efficiency (2016, Effie and Creativity 2017, FAFA). He has 9 years of teaching experience, 5 of which as Program Director of the Master Program “Advertising, Business Design and Brand Management”, VUZF.
