Representatives of organizations involved in the development of innovation and startup ecosystems of the Western Balkan countries visited Sofia Tech Park, where they were introduced with the achievements so far in the development of the project for the first Science and Technology Park in Bulgaria, as well as the opportunities that it supports business and synergies between entrepreneurs and academia. This meeting was part of a two-day meeting of the Leaders of innovation structures of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Republic of Serbia, the Republic of North Macedonia, the Republic of Montenegro and the Republic of Albania, organized by the Executive Agency for Promotion of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.
The Executive Director of Sofia Tech Park Todor Mladenov also presented the new projects that the park team is working on and are about to be implemented in 2020-2021.
At the end of February, the new shared workspace “Groworking” will be opened in Sofia Tech Park, which will allow start-ups and other companies to use convenient and modern office space on an hourly and daily basis.
The guests were introduced with the work of the entrepreneurial network “Endeavor Bulgaria”, as well as with the projects that the Bulgarian startup association BESCO is working on, which are partners of Sofia Tech Park. The startup community of the Science and Technology Park was represented by one of its newest members – the Bulgarian startup fintech company – Iris Solution.
